Arley Hall and its surrounding Estate grounds are a popular film location having played host to many period and contemporary dramas.
From the exclusive location for the series, Cluedo and Soames' house in the Forsythe Saga to being a backdrop for The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and hosting a number of Coronation Street weddings, Arley proved to be a top class venue for film and television companies. Indoor Opportunities
Arley Hall has a number of spacious, naturally-lit staterooms, each given its own character by the elaborate plasterwork, panelling and furniture. From the Emperor's Room, once home to Napoleon III, through the magnificent oak-panelled Library to the Gallery with stain glass windows and impressive fireplace, the Hall offers a series of historic, opulent and authentic backdrops.
Other indoor opportunities include the Tudor Barn and the C15th Cruck Barn.
Outdoor Opportunities
The magnificent Gardens, recently voted amongst the top 50 in Europe and top 10 in Britain, are celebrated for their double herbaceous borders, giant Ilex columns, pleached Lime Avenue, yew topiary and walled gardens and offer stunning variety of backdrops for film and photography.
The Estate's 2,000 acres featuring undulating park, ancient woodland, seven miles of private roads, secluded hamlet and lake and cobbled stableyard also present countless film and photo opportunities in an undisturbed environment.
