Mothers Day Afternoon Tea – Sunday 15th March

Indulge in this quintessentially English tradition served to you in the historic Tudor Barn.

Fairy Tales & Trails – Sunday 22nd March

Children are invited to explore the magical gardens through our new Fairy Tales and Trails, unravelling the storybook clues as they make their way through The Gardens. Arley can boast several ‘secret gardens’ thanks to a host of nooks and crannies that are just waiting to be explored by your little ones.

The trails will lead your family through the stunning gardens, including the Herb, Scented and Vegetable Gardens, sculptures in The Grove, Woodland Walk and enchanting Arley Hall.

And dont forget there is plenty other outdoor fun in our Adventure Play Zone with its zip wire, sandpit, swings, slide and willow dome. Bring a picnic or buy a childrens fun food box from our Tudor Barn Restaurant who will also be serving its full menu.

There will be a quiz in The Hall to follow, and find out your Fairy or Troll name in the Tea Cottage! Stockley will be here with a small petting farm and there will be a drawing competition as well as colouring in The Coachhouse where fairy tale DVDs will be playing.

A cuddly bugs / ugly bugs activity tree will be in the Adventure Zone along with new monkey bars and extended willow dome and perhaps most exciting of all off you can plant 3 ‘magic’ beans with head gardener Gordon!

Wedding Open Evening – Wednesday 1st April

If you have already booked your wedding at Arley or are thinking of Arley as a venue for your wedding, come along and see the Hall set as an exclusive wedding venue and experience for yourself the romantic and welcoming atmosphere which the Hall offers you and your guests. Meet the Arley team who will be happy to help with any advice and tips for the perfect day.

Speak to some of our preferred suppliers who will be on hand to offer suggestions and show examples of their work from florists to dresses, vintage cars, cakes and musicians.

Cheshire East Registration Service will also provide a ceremony presentation ‘Your Ceremony’ in the Drawing Room at 6.00pm. It gives brides and grooms a fabulous opportunity of being able to see how they can create the perfect wedding ceremony for their special day. The registrars will also happily answer questions after the ceremony.

Open from 5pm – 8pm, admission and parking is free, no need to book simple come along.

Bush Crafts Courses – April – September

Bush craft activity courses, 1-3 days for individuals or corporate team building are being held at Arley during April – September.

Spring Plant Fair – Sunday 12th April

Enjoy a day out browsing the specialist plant nurseries selling unusual plants, shrubs, trees and spring flowering bulbs and gather great ideas for your garden for the coming seasons.

The Arley gardners will be at the fair and will be only to pleased to give advice, guidance and answer any questions you may have about the best type of plants for your garden.

Adult entry is £1.50 which is redeemable against entry to the stunning Arley Gardens, the Tudor Barn restaurant is open for meals or just delicious tea and cake.

Open 10am – 4pm, children and parking are FREE.

Dogs very welcome on a lead.

Bluebell Walks – Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th April

Enjoy huge carpets of bluebells & many other wild flowers, see magnificent woods in spring-time glory & listen to glorious spring birdsong, walk by the Lake to see many kinds of water birds and experience countryside not normally disturbed therefore particularly rich in wildlife of all kinds.

Learn the history of this ancient agricultural estate and return through The Grove, Arley’s beautiful woodland garden in full springtime glory.

Walks last approx. 1¾ hrs on footpaths through woods & fields and are lead by experienced guides. Booking is essential. All visitors should wear waterproof clothing and footwear. Unfortunately the walks are not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

Walks take place at 11am, 12noon & 2pm.

Adults £2.50, Children 5-16 £1.00, Children under 5 FREE.

Simply Cheshire – Friday 22nd & Sunday 23rd May

Simply Cheshire will showcase Cheshire’s talented, independent designers, artists, producers and entrepreneurs who are either from or whose business is based within the County. The exhibitors are all handpicked and are selected not only because of their Cheshire connection but because they produce or sell something original and totally gorgeous, there’s also a newcomers section to support and nurture new talent emerging from the County. There will be exhibitor demonstrations throughout the day, amazing artisan food and drink, live music and an opportunity to explore the beautiful gardens at Arley.

Alongside supporting local businesses and people, we will also be supporting “The Joshua Tree”, a Cheshire based charity which aims to build a respite holiday home in Cheshire for children with life threatening illnesses.

Opening Times 10am-5pm. Tickets : Adults £8 (£6 in advance) Children over 12 £2.50 (£2.00 in advance) Under 12’s FREE. VIP Package £30.00 in advance only.

Arley Garden Festival – Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st June

Once again there will be a Floral Marquee and a wide variety of plant nurseries as well as Garden tours run throughout the day lead by Lord Ashbrook and Gordon Baillie our Head Gardener and all the gardeners are on hand during the day for help and advice, there will be a Question Time session on both days.

There will also be horticultural accessories, a Creative Crafts marquee, a food fair in our historic Cruck Barn, delicious catering outlets, brass and jazz band entertainment as well as an art exhibition in Olympia.

In the Countryside Marquee you will be able to enjoy Stick Making, Coppice Fencing and Dry Stone Wall demonstrations.

The Schools Flowerbed Challenge, which runs all weekend, will be judged on the Saturday morning by the Floral Marquee judges with a public vote taking place over the weekend, enabling all visitors to vote for their favourite flowerbed.

It’s a great family day out with children’s entertainment including face painting and children’s rides and trampolines as well our own picnic area and Adventure Play Zone complete with zip wire!

Open 10am – 5pm FREE parking, admission prices and online booking to be available later this month.

Live In The Park Outdoor Concert – Saturday 11th July

Live music where you can bring a picnic before you watch on stage, The Dolly Show, Europe’s top Dolly Parton tribute act which combines her greatest hits with flawless comic timing. Next to the stage will be Johnny Lee Memphis: world champion Elvis impersonator who guarantees the same excitement that the King of rock ‘n’ roll delivered to his audiences. Closing the concert with their close harmony singing, The Blue Beatles will capture the iconic sound of the sixties. All proceeds to The Neuro Muscular Centre – Winsford.

Picnic concert and fantastic firework finale in the stunning setting of the Arley parkland.
