Eco-friendly sustainable Festive workshop
Saturday 18th of November
Join textile designer Audrey Bate, founder of Cosy Organic, for a festive natural dyeing workshop in the Olympia barn at Arley. Audrey will share her extensive knowledge of natural dyeing before guiding you how to create beautiful natural designs from compressing petals into fabric. This is a beautiful craft to learn while preserving a traditional technique of creating colour naturally.
The workshop will cover learning about natural dyes, preparing fabric for dyeing and the beauty of compressing flowers to create eco-friendly gift wrapping and ribbon ideas to enjoy again and again.
Whether you are new to natural dyeing or just curious about this wonderful technique then this festive workshop is for you. Allow yourself this time to be in a creative mindset amongst the beautiful historic grounds of Arley Hall. All the materials you will need will be provided and there will be a selection of fresh petals/leaves to create your design, so you don’t have to bring anything except yourself!
Workshops will start at 10:00 -12:00 or 14:00 -16:00.
