Fantasy Florals In The Hall

Friday 5th December - Wednesday 10th December 2025

Access to Arley for these dates is as part of Festively Floral only

Hall Open 10am - 3.30pm (last entry 3pm)
Garden Open 10am - 4pm (last entry 3.30pm)

See The Hall and chapel creatively decorated with fresh flowers and foliage from the Arley gardens by local florists and Horticultural colleges. This year each room will depict a classic fairy tale. There will also be a choir singing in the Hall or chapel each day for you to enjoy as you meander round. The will be singing at 11am - 11-45am and 2pm - 2.45pm.

Tickets include entry into Fantasy Florals In The Hall, full access to the formal gardens, grove & woodland, chapel, café, toilets and free parking.

Your ticket also includes an intimate shopping experience of several exclusive, handpicked artisan traders on Friday 5th - Monday 8th December.

Local schools will have also decorated Christmas trees in The Cruck Barn.

Pre-booked tickets are available to purchase until 4pm of the day prior to your visit. Once the pre-booked ticket purchase option has ended for that day you can still arrive the following day and purchase a ticket on arrival, although this will not be at the discounted price.

Wreath Making Workshop

Friday 5th, Saturday 6th, Sunday 7th and Monday 8th December 2025 THESE WORKSHOPS ARE NOW ALL FULLY BOOKED

Be expertly guided by Gordon Baillie, our Head Gardener, as you create your wreath from foliage from the gardens, which you can then take home and enjoy.

All equipment is provided but if you would like to bring along gloves to handle any rough foliage you are welcome to do so.

Morning workshops start at 10am until 12 noon and afternoon workshops start at 2pm until 4pm.

Jonathan Moseley Floral Demonstration (and lunch)

Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th December 2025

Jonathan will be returning to Arley, in our Olympia barn, as part of our Christmas Festival at Arley, but this year he will be here for 2 days! He will be creating several floral displays in his usual entertaining and informative way.

Demonstrations will start at 10.30 and last for approximately 2 hours.

Ticket will include entry to the Hall for our Fantasy Florals In The Hall celebration and the gardens as well as free parking.

There will be tea and coffee and/or a glass of mulled wine on arrival along with a delicious mince pie.

Autumn-Winter Botanical Watercolours

Thursday 11th, Sunday 14th, Thursday 18th, Sunday 21st & Sunday 28th December 2025

Sue McHugh, is a Fellow of the Society of Botanical Artists and is the current Artist in Residence at Knowsley Hall is hosting a series of 2 hour, relaxed botanical watercolour art classes, aimed at beginners in the Coach House at Arley each month throughout the year.

Each workshop last 2 hours.

£50pp and includes a hot drink & cake as well as access to the gardens (normally £12) and parking (normally £3).

10 places per session so booking is essential.

The workshop requires no experience and the easy-to-follow process will walk you through the key steps to producing realistic botanical watercolours with real impact!

All professional art materials will be provided, just turn up!

What you will learn:

- Key elements of botanical illustration
- The art materials Sue uses
- Selecting your botanical specimen to paint
- Composition and common elements of botanical layouts
- Sue's easy-to-follow step-by-step watercolour technique

The Autumn-Winter classes will focus on learning her easy-to-follow watercolour process with a little bit of a twist - producing a seasonal keepsake to take away.

Sue's aim is to share her love for botanical watercolours and to demystify the key stages to creating successful paintings.

Festive Afternoon Tea In The Hall

Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th December 2025

AFTERNOON TEAS ARE NOW ALL FULLY BOOKED

Enjoy a delicious tiered selection of mouth watering treats, from delicate finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones to picture-perfect patisserie, all freshly made by our chefs.

This is accompanied by a choice of teas or fresh coffee, with a glass of mulled wine, prosecco or elderflower fizz on arrival.

Soak in the ambiance of the Hall enjoying live music playing in the background creating an enchanting atmosphere.

The Hall opens at 1pm for your arrival and welcome drink with afternoon tea being served at 2pm, your experience will last until 4pm.

Vegan and vegetarian options are available, please indicate your choice when booking, specifying any dietary requirements.
